Video Copilot has released Element 3D, an After Effects plug-in that lets you import and animate 3D models, even as a particle array, and extrude text and mask shapes in real time. It’s useful for all of us, for newbies and old hands & for straight 3D and more abstract experimentation, at least if you have a more recent OpenGL graphics card.
- Open After Effects, create a new composition with a new solid. Add the Element effect to the solid from the Effect tab 2. Click on the Scene Interface, a Generate License window will pop-up 3. You can enter your Video Copilot Store login information and it will generate your license for you right there.
- Element 3D is a Fast Open GL 3D object based particle Rendering Engine for After Effects.
